ABOUT

“Live from Madison Square Garden, I’m Nate Bilgoray.” “We’ll see you on the next commercial, for Tori Bilgoray, I’m Nate Bilgoray.” You’d think those two lines came from my broadcasting career that began about four-years ago, but no. The first one, 3-year-old Nate pretending he was center stage performing as a member of the Wiggles in MSG. The latter, Nate doing a fake ad read at 5-years-old in his childhood home. Deep down, I always knew who I wanted to be in this life—it just took another 13 years for the path to begin to forge.

Entertainment was a mainstay in who I was growing up, yet sports always took center stage. When I was young, I thought I was going to be a professional baseball player. When my sister found that out, breaking my heart and dreams, she asked me what my backup plan was. At the time, I did not have one. Sports broadcasting, a career I didn’t really know existed, would have been a good answer.

In high school, after a lifetime of playing baseball, soccer, football and basketball, while also pledging my allegiance to New York Sports (for better or worse), I stumbled upon “CHTV.” My high school news channel. And honestly, my first thought was, “this is an easy A.” So I took it. That’s when I realized we didn’t have a sports segment.

All it took was a couple of “60-second sports with Nate” before I realized what I wanted to do with the rest of my life.

Little did I know the journey this would set me on, the tests broadcasting would put me through and the self-improvement I’d endure would all shape my voice that I hope one day will be associated with the biggest moments in sports.

I arrived at the University of Florida as a freshman with one goal in mind. Become the best broadcaster I can possibly be.

At the start, my work remained mostly written, but moving forward to Sophomore year, I became the only underclassman allowed on a debuting all-student sports talk show on WRUF 981 - Home of the Gators. I also earned a spot on our student radio station, GHQ.FM, as a play-by-play broadcaster. I worked my way up the station and was named the lead basketball broadcaster, calling the team’s run through March Madness and capturing the final moments when they won the 2025 National Championship. I’ve done television football pregame shows, live hits on coach firings and hirings, but if you’ve gotten this far, I won't bore you with any more words.
